Everything you need to build a virtual tour

Scene linking with hotspots

Click where the next scene should be and pick the panorama. Tunnels between scenes keep the viewing direction, so walking through a flat feels natural. 71,000+ hotspots are live on the platform today.

Info points

Image, text, plate and polygon markers explain furniture, exhibits or floor areas. Polygon points outline exact shapes on the panorama.

Maps and floor plans

Add a floor-plan scene or an OpenStreetMap scene with the position of every panorama; visitors jump between rooms from the plan.

Audio and 360° video

Attach ambient sound or narration to a scene or the whole tour. Host spherical MP4 video as a scene alongside photos.

Start view, autorotate and horizon

Set the opening view per scene, switch on autorotate, level a tilted horizon and adjust lights, shadows, sharpness and exposure on Pro.

Publish, share, embed

One click makes the tour public or unlisted. Every tour has a link, an iframe embed, an open graph cover and a JSON-LD description for search engines.

Step by step

How to create a virtual tour in three steps

1

Shoot or render

Use any 360° camera (see our 2026 camera guide) or render equirectangular panoramas from 3ds Max, Blender, Unreal or V-Ray. Export JPEG, 2:1 ratio, up to 65,500 pixels wide.

2

Upload and link

Upload the set, open the tour editor, place hotspots between scenes, drop in a floor plan, add info points and a start view.

3

Publish and embed

Publish, copy the link or the iframe, and put it on your website, a listing or social media. Edit anytime; embeds update automatically.

Why online

Why teams pick a hosted creator over desktop software

Nothing to install or license

Desktop tour builders cost hundreds of dollars and still need a server. Here the editor, the krpano player and the hosting are one account.

Works on any device

Edit in a browser on Windows, macOS or Linux; the finished tour runs on phones, tablets, desktops and VR headsets.

Updates in place

Replace a panorama or rewrite an info point and every embed shows the new version. No re-export, no re-upload to your site.

Built on krpano

The player is krpano, the engine professional studios use, with multi-resolution tiles so 65,500-pixel panoramas load instantly.

About

Built by 360° photographers since 2014

TrueVirtualTours started in 2014 as a hosting service for spherical panoramas and grew into a full virtual tour platform. Today it hosts more than 41,000+ published panoramas and 4,500+ tours from 23,000+ photographers, agencies, architects and studios, and its viewers have opened them more than 6.5 million times.

The platform is built and run by Grinev Software. Panoramas are stored in tiles on cloud storage and served through a CDN, so a tour embedded on your site loads from the nearest edge, not from a single server. Paying customers come from 49 countries, and the interface is available in English and Russian.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The Free plan lets you upload 15 panoramas every 30 days and build as many tours as you like from them, with hotspots, VR, embedding and hosting included. No download and no card.

Upload equirectangular 360° photos, open the tour editor, connect scenes with hotspots, optionally add a floor plan, map, audio and info points, then publish. The whole process for a 10-room flat takes about 20 minutes. Our step-by-step guide covers every screen.

Any camera or renderer that outputs an equirectangular JPEG in 2:1 ratio: Insta360, Ricoh Theta, GoPro Max, Kandao, Matterport exports, DSLR stitches, and renders from 3ds Max, Blender, V-Ray, Corona, Unreal and Twinmotion. Video scenes take MP4 up to 5,824 x 2,912.

The player is krpano and the tiles are krpano multi-resolution, but you do not need a krpano licence or any XML editing. The editor generates everything.

On Pro you can hide the TrueVirtualTours logo and the control bar, so the embed looks like part of your site. Start removes the splash screen on embeds.

We host it. Panoramas, tiles, video and the player are served from our CDN-backed storage; you only paste the link or the iframe.
