Old bridge across Zeya

The bridge across the Zeya (also Zeya bridge) is a road bridge connecting Blagoveshchensk with the left bank of the Zeya River. Before the construction of the bridge, movement across the Zeya River was carried out by ferry, and in winter they organized crossings over ice. The construction of the overpass began in 1976, and its official opening took place in 1981. The bridge had been operating without repairs for 35 years, when in 2016 they started talking about the need for major restoration work. In April 2020, due to damage, the movement of freight and passenger transport on the bridge was suspended, but in June it was reopened.
