Palace of Culture of the Miners - what was it like? On November 6, 1934, the construction of a new grand club of miners in the mining village on the 25th kilometer was completed. The grandeur of the concrete structure in the newspapers was estimated at the cost of the project - 1.1 million rubles. Already on November 7 and 8, residents of the village had the opportunity to watch a production of Leningrad artists in a new club. However, the opening did not mean the end of construction work - in December, another 400 thousand rubles were allocated for the completion of the club’s trust Apatit. December 19, 1934, after the murder of S.M. Kirov, the Club of the Miners assigned his name. In the spacious renovated hall of the club often gave theatrical performances, came the theater operetta. 10 thousand rubles were transferred to the creation of a brass band at the Miners' Club. Subsequently, a huge number of circles were organized here. In particular, there was a drama club. There was also a library with a reading room here. But the Kirovsk citizens were not happy for a long time with the new club. June 22, 1941 in the park everything was prepared for a mass festivity, even though it was pouring snow. And in the evening, there was already a recruiting station in the premises of the Palace, and the Director of the Palace put on his overcoat ... The Great Patriotic War began.

After the war, the Palace began to live a full life. It was still the favorite place of rest among the miners.

The palace began with a hut, and became a real handsome man. The building with an area of 4 thousand m2. 63 rooms! Two halls - 550 seats and 200 seats. The newest film equipment. When the first time they showed a widescreen film, people went as if on a holiday. Evening of glory - every month. An old, glorious, not aging tradition of the Palace of Culture of the Miners. And mass celebrations: “Seeing off the Khibinsky winter”, the holiday of Neptune and the Khibinsky birch, the spring holiday of the Sun.

No less memorable and significant was the assignment to the theater group of the title of the national theater, which presented the regional competition for the play by A. Korneychuk’s play Makar Dubrava.

Culture is a capacious concept. An important place in it belongs to the book. The Palace has a rich library: three rooms, thousands of volumes. There were literary evenings, reader conferences, reviews. The meetings of the Poetry Club were also long-established traditions. Evenings at the Palace sounded melodies from Maritsa, Kholopki, Pearl Seekers, White Acacia ... A big concert was prepared by the singers and musicians of the Palace, which included excerpts from 12 operettas.

In the Palace constantly hot days. That is preparing for the competition, then to the festival, then to the concert. Tense life lived and groups of children's amateur. The Song and Dance Ensemble, for example, was preparing for the 50th anniversary of assigning the Leninist Komsomol a musical performance “Chase” in the movie “Elusive Avengers”. In the mid-1980s, when the Palace of Culture of the Apatit association was closed city celebrations and events of the association were held at the Gornyk Palace of Culture. The burden on his workers lay enormous, and the staff was small. In the days of the 50th anniversary of the enterprise, the national theater, vocal-instrumental ensemble, propaganda team, many circles and clubs of interests worked here, both children and adults enjoyed visiting them.

In the 2000s, the Palace of Culture already required an urgent overhaul, but the repair was not destined to come true, since the building was badly damaged by fire and is now beyond repair. To demolish the monument to the miner's culture is also not possible, since the property is privately owned and offered for sale.
