Virtual tour: New 3D tour branch of the Moscow Polytechnic. Kolomna Institute (branch) of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Moscow Polytechnic University"

The Institute was established by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of May 25, 1955 No. 1015 “On additional measures to streamline the training of specialists with higher education” as the Kolomna branch of the Moscow Evening Engineering Institute (since 1962 the Kolomna branch of the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering).

By order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the RSFSR of August 16, 1963 No. 524, the Kolomna branch of the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering transferred to the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute (VZPI).

By the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of February 20, 1992 No. 101 “On the transformation of the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute”, the Moscow State Open University branch was renamed the Kolomna Branch of the Moscow State Open University.

By order of the Ministry of General and Professional Education of the Russian Federation of May 18, 1998 No. 1194, Kolomna Branch of the Moscow State Open University was renamed the Kolomna Institute (branch) of the Moscow State Open University.

Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated October 11, 2011. №2458 Kolomna Institute (branch) of the federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education "Moscow State Open University" was renamed the Kolomna Institute (branch) of the federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education "Moscow State Open University named after V.S. Chernomyrdin.

Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated December 20, 2012 No. 1074 "On the reorganization of the federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education" Moscow State Machine-Building University (MAMI) ", the federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education" V.S. Chernomyrdin "and the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education" Moscow State Evening Metallurgical Institute "Kolomna Institute (branch) of the Moscow State Open University named after VS Chernomyrdin is attached to the Moscow State Machine-Building University (MAMI) and renamed Kolomensky Institute (branch) Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education i "Moscow State Machine-Building University (MAMI)" in Kolomna, Moscow Region.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia dated March 21, 2016, Moscow Polytechnic University was established in Moscow by reorganizing in the form of a merger of the University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI) and the Moscow State University of Press named after Ivan Fedorov (MGUP), which includes Kolomensky Institute as a branch.

During its existence, the university has made a significant contribution to the development of the military-industrial complex of the south-eastern region of the Moscow region, preparing more than 12 thousand specialists. Today, more than 50% of the engineering and technical development of the base enterprises: Kolomensky Zavod OJSC and Design Bureau of Machine Building Scientific-Production Corporation are graduates of the Kolomna Institute.

The originators of the institute were prominent domestic weapons designers Doctor of Technical Sciences, Hero of Socialist Labor B.I. Shavyrin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Hero of Socialist Labor S.P. Invincible, Soviet statesman and military leader, Major General of the engineering and artillery service N.E. Nosovsky and director of the Kolomna plant V.N. Pashin. In different years, famous scientists, doctors of technical sciences, professors, twice winner of the USSR State Prize in science and technology, Honored Scientist and Technician of the RSFSR Ye.A. Nikitin, Honored Designer of the Russian Federation, State Prize laureate M.A. Saltykov, N.T. Romanenko, N.N. Ovechnikov, F.I. Pinsky, A.I. Khutsiev, D.A. Dekhovich, A.I. Belyaev, and others.

Formed traditions are supported by the current faculty of the institute.
