Cape Passek - named after the navigator Leonid Vasilyevich Passek - is located in the southwestern part of the city of Nakhodka, between two large bays, Vostok and Nakhodka, Peter the Great Bay. The cape is located near the city beach "Chinese" of the Progulochnaya Bay, and next to the beach "Sea Depths", which was previously called "Red Stones". The name "Red Stones" of these places is not accidental, it is this shade that the rocks of both the cape itself and the adjacent beaches have.

Without exaggeration, Passeka Cape and Progulochnaya Bay are the most beautiful places on the Trudny Peninsula, on which the city of Nakhodka has spread its microdistricts. Tourists and fishermen call the eastern part of the cape the Red Rocks. The shores of the bay are impregnable, high cliffs break almost vertically into the sea. From this height, the cape looks like a peninsula with five miniature coves and rock edges. The height of these rocks is from 30 to 80 meters. On the western side, the cape serves as a kind of shield for Malaya Progulyochnaya Bay. If there is a storm in Vostok Bay, then all its strength falls on Cape Passeka. Perhaps that is why its western side has such a formidable appearance. At the top there is a monument to the dead fishermen. It is from this peak that the entire cape, Progulochnaya Bay and Cape Skalisty present a grandiose landscape. In winter, Cape Passeka is even more beautiful. Snow that has fallen on the rocks creates a contrast, emphasizes the relief of the rocks. Ice-covered kekurs become much more expressive than in summer.

The cape belonged to the lost specially protected natural area of recreational destination "Southwestern coast of Peter the Great Bay" (1998-2008). Near Cape Passeka, populations of hard juniper, listed in the Red Book, have been preserved. A dozen years ago, the Amur goral lived only on Cape Passeka (with the exception of the Lazovsky Reserve). It was here that the Nakhodka poetess Tatiana Golomazov discovered the rarest plant on earth - a single-flowered monotrope. Other rare plants also grow in this area of the coast.
