The square was established on the site of a former architectural complex, which, unfortunately, was heavily damaged during the war. The St. Michael's Church, attached to the former Girls' School of the Religious Department, once stood here—it is this church that gave the place its name. Today, only old photographs remain as reminders of the past, but the square itself has acquired a new soul thanks to sculptures that are impossible to pass by without being moved.
