The Pitatelevsky spring is the closest source of geothermal waters to the capital of the republic. It is located 54 kilometers from Ulan-Ude, on the left bank of the Selenga River in the village of Ilyinka. Since December 1981, by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR No. 378, the source has been protected.
The source is named in honor of the doctor A.L. Pitatelev, who was one of the first researchers of its healing properties. The outlet of the thermal baths is confined here to the channel and the left bank of the Selenga River. Water reserves are 1,987 cubic meters per day. Some of the wells gush with water with a temperature of up to 70 ° C. Hydrotherms have a sulfate chloride-sulfate sodium composition with a salinity of 1.7-2.0 g / l and a silicic acid content of 100-200 mg / l.

But it should be borne in mind that there are strict contraindications to the use of thermal waters: any diseases in the acute stage, malignant neoplasms, hypertension of a high degree of complication, a history of myocardial infarction, bronchial asthma with frequent attacks, pregnancy for more than five months.
