Betal Kalmykov

The monument to Betal Kalmykov is located on Shogentsukov Avenue, at the entrance to the city park of the city of Nalchik. It is dedicated to the leader of the Kabardino-Balkarian Bolsheviks, an outstanding public and statesman of the republic, Betal Edikovich Kalmykov.

The monument was erected in 1960, according to the project of the famous sculptor of the republic M. Tkhakumashev. The monument is a majestic bronze sculpture of the leader of the Kabardino-Balkarian Bolsheviks, which stands on a high pedestal. The figure of the charismatic politician of the republic, like the sculptures of many other leaders of the Soviet era, is depicted with his hand raised to the sky.

The monument to Betal Edikovich Kalmykov is located in one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in the city of Nalchik. The monument is surrounded by green spaces, well-groomed flower beds and benches, and in the park, in the shade of sprawling crowns, numerous tourists and locals peacefully stroll.
