The Siberian Solar Radio Telescope SSRT is one of the largest astronomical instruments. It is located in a forested, picturesque valley separating two mountain ranges of the Eastern Sayans, at a distance of 220 km from Irkutsk. This is a cross-shaped interferometer consisting of two lines of 128x128 parabolic antennas 2.5 meters in diameter, installed equidistantly with a step of 4.9 meters and oriented in the directions east-west and north-south.
