The Achkeryakol lava flow is a fragment of the route to Elbrus from the East. Climbing this section requires good physical fitness and serious mountaineering skills. The altitude of the camp (the tent is visible at the very bottom) is 3800 m.

Some features of the flow: -Landscapes: harsh rocks, eternal snow, silence broken only by the wind. -Temperature: even in summer it rarely rises above zero. -Absence of vegetation: no trees, no lichens - only stones, ice and endless sky.
