The wooden church in the name of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Ilyinskoye was built in 1839 as an Old Believer church. It was built with funds from the merchant Ponomarev. Epifan Vasilyevich was a prominent figure in the village of Ilyinskoye. The built temple was one of the best Old Believer churches in the area, especially in terms of its interior design. The church has no dome, there is a flat ceiling above with an image of a monumental Sabaoth, and on the walls there are icons of the Stroganov School. The grave of the merchant and honorary citizen is still preserved near the building of the temple. In the middle of the 20th century, the Annunciation Church was re-consecrated as Orthodox and to this day is the main operating Orthodox church in the village of Ilyinskoye.
