Along the village passes the Kaliningrad marine navigable canal. In the village is located fishing collective farm "For the Motherland". Through the village passes the Baltic highway 27A-002 to the cities of Baltiysk and Svetly. Currently, a coal-fired thermal power plant is being built outside the village.
