In the 1830s, the Stroganovs' serf Samoilo Abramov built a three-wheeled bicycle out of wood, which was unique at the time. Its steering wheel was made from a rolling pin, and the pedals were made from meat grinder handles. The frame was shaped like a horse, since the main means of transportation was a horse. Local postmen used it for about half a century!
