Outside view. Address: st. Lenina, 104 The church was built on the site of an ancient wooden one that stood in the northeastern corner of the Yenisei fort on the banks of the Yenisei at the confluence of the river. Melnichnaya.

The construction was carried out by the “townsman” I. Bukin with donations from residents of Yeniseisk and other cities. The main temple was consecrated in 1747. In 1757, the southern Annunciation chapel was consecrated, in 1768–1773. At the expense of the parishioners of “the lieutenant Ivan Prokopyev’s son Mikhalev and his comrades,” the northern aisle was built in the name of Our Lady of Kazan. The fourth chapel, St. John the Theologian, was located in the second tier of the Annunciation chapel of the bell tower, above the porch - in 1811. After the fire of 1869, the southern chapel was restored at the expense of the merchant Funtosov, the main temple - by 1876 at the expense of N. Dementyev, the Theological chapel - to 1877 at the expense of Eltyshev.

Judging by photographs from the turn of the 19th–20th centuries. it was the tallest building in the city. From the moment of its construction, the bell tower had a high spire, crowned with the figure of an angel, who was holding a cross in his hands - a “flaming weapon”. By 1825, according to the inventory of the church's property, this composition was replaced by a cross with gilded and red-painted branches.

The church had a longitudinal traditional composition: a temple with an altar, a latitudinal refectory with two elevated side-chapels and a four-tiered bell tower with two “bells” (the top one is octagonal). The bell tower consisted of traditional tiers of “bells” - an eight on a quadrangle above a powerful vestibule and had a large-scale structure.

Currently, only the temple volume with a semicircular altar apse has been preserved. The temple is built like an “octagon on a quadrangle” - it is covered with a tray vault on trompe-copes.

The windows of the octagon at the end are decorated with high figured windows extending into the frieze, and a cornice with a three-row curb that magnificently completes the composition above each face of the octagon with tiered pilasters at the corners.

In the frieze there are rows of balusters recessed into the wall with a belt of small “flies” running underneath.

The whitewashed facades of the two-height quadrangle are topped with a frieze with rows of balusters and a “bug” ornament running underneath them; Two more rows of “runner” and a profiled rod decorate the second light tier. The corners of the quadrangle are processed with blades, paneled in the lower light tier.

The apse is crowned with a profiled cornice on consoles. The windows are framed with platbands with semi-columns in the sides, decorated with a “melon”. The windows of the lower tier of the temple and the altar windows end with counter volutes; the skylight and octagonal windows have beam lintels.

The preserved volume of the temple with a semicircular altar apse of the Resurrection Church in Yeniseisk is a monument of religious architecture of the second quarter of the 18th century, one of the best works of Siberian architecture, made in the forms of “Ural Baroque”; It is distinguished by the variety and elegance of the used forms of decoration of the facades, and closes the panorama of the central part of the city from the east.
