by Денис Штейн

Virtual tour: Big Moss Swamp - Kaliningrad region. The Big Moss Swamp is the largest swamp in the Kaliningrad region. Its age is about 10,000 years. The swamp is covered with thickets of heather, wild rosemary and moss with dwarf trees. Here grows cranberries, lingonberries, cloudberries, blueberries and mushrooms. There is a large number of rare species of plants and birds - mountain pine, Erica four-leaf (the only location in Russia), bog sedge, water lily pure white, liver moss (also the only location in Russia), white-tailed eagle, golden plover, golden eagle, fifi, gray shrike.      This panorama displays the entire Gromovsky swamp massif, as well as the village of Gromovo. Not far from this place was the Hohenbruch Nazi concentration camp. In those places there were events related to the activities of our reconnaissance group "Jack".
